Gadar 2 Review – 60% Utkarsh Sharma 40% Sunny Deol

Gadar 2 has been released and getting tremendous response from the audiences, all the shows on the first day were housefull and people are enjoying the film, in this post we are going to review the film and what we think about it.

Gadar 2 starring Utkarsh Sharma, Sunny Deol, Amisha Patel, and Manish Wadhwa, the film is directed by Anil Sharma.

Story of Gadar 2

Gadar 2 starts where Gadar Ek Prem Katha ends, it shares the whole story in the opening credit scenes. Now Tara Singh (Sunny Deol) lives in the mountains with his wife Sakeena (Amisha Patel) and son Jitay (Charanjeet Singh) played by Utkarsh Sharma, They lived a happy life for 17 years.

Now the year is 1971, and we are on the verge of war with Pakistan, due to some circumstances, Jitay visits Pakistan and now he is captured by the Pakistani Army chief Hamid Iqbal (Manish Wadhwa).

Hamid hates Tara Singh as his country becomes a laughing stock when he took away Sakeena in front of them by killing his 40 Army men, he wants revenge, he hates Indians.

Now, Tara Singh has to rescue his son, this is the film story which is quite weak and similar to Gadar Ek Prem Katha, there is a twist in the film, so we are not revealing the whole story.

Performances, Music, Dialogues

The film is full of action sequences and chase sequences, which make the 2nd half full of adrenaline rush, Sunny Deol carries the whole film on his shoulder with brilliant action and dialogues.

Utkarsh Sharma gave a decent performance, and Manish Wadhwa was good too, Amisha Patel’s role is limited but she looks perfect with Sunny Deol and their chemistry is praiseworthy.

Dialogues in Gadar 2 are limited, and we miss the dialoguebaazi as we saw in Gadar Ek Prem Katha, songs are average, Gadar Ek Prem Katha was a musical film and all the songs of that film hit, but this film lacks good music, the overall film is a sunny deol show and Utkarsh Sharma’s relaunch in Bollywood.

Final Verdict of Gadar 2

Despite being a good film, OMG 2 was also released on the same date. However, it may struggle to capture the audience’s attention, as Gadar 2 is currently dominating the box office.

I would rate Gadar 2- 3/5 for Sunny Deol this film is a family entertainer, so you can enjoy this Independence Day weekend with your family.
